UCF football’s offense – McKenzie Milton’s 6 touchdowns
UCF football’s offense led by UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton has too much power in 56-36 win over FAU.
Making a statement!
UCF Knights wasted no time trying to put this game out of reach. They scored a touchdown on their first 2 drives to take an earlier 14-0 lead. The Owls 1st big play to get them rolling was a 24 yards run by Gerald Hearns on 4th and 4. FAU’s run game is normally in the hands of Devin Singletary. Last year as a sophomore Devin Singletary racked up 1,920 yards and led the nation in rushing touchdowns with 32. He capped the 11 plays 71 drive with a 11 yards run to get the Owls on the board. 14-7 “UCF”
FAU is making their own statement
The next drive for FAU they went for it again on fourth down and were successful again. Singletary capped the drive again but this time was a 9 yards touchdown. 14-14 all (Do we have a problem?)
The Owls are starting to look good. Their next drive really had UCF defense in trouble. It all started on 3rd and 13 on
FAU’s 39 yard line. Chris Robinson pass to Jovon Durante was for only 6 yards but UCF was penalized for roughing the passes. Automatic 1st down. Did Devin Singletary take it personal because the next two rushes were for 10 and 11 yards which put FAU on UCF’s 19 yard line. 4 and 1 on UCF’s 14 yard line FAU was called for a false start which resulted in the Owls settling for the easy field goal 17-14 (FAU).
UCF’s quick strike
FAU defense apparently skipped the video showing how quick UCF’s offense can score and how dangerous their receivers are. Milton connected with Marlon Williams for a 9 yards catch then Dredrick Snelson for 23 yards. Then back to Snelson for 21 yards and then Williams caps the drive with a 21 yards TD Catch. One minute and 3 seconds UCF’s offense puts the knights up 21-17 at the half.
McKenzie Milton on scoring so quick at the end of the half “We practice for those situations.”
I have no idea what was said at half time but the hash tag #chargeon sums up the 3rd quarter. UCF out scored FAU 21-6. Everyone on UCF’s team that wanted to touch the ball touched the ball this quarter. Milton was 8 of 10 for 93 passing yards. Greg Mccrae, Adrian Killins, and Taj McGowan all did a fantastic job running the ball. “UCF” 42- 23 “FAU”
Both teams scored 2 more touchdowns in the 4th quarter and FAU eventually lost 56-36.
UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton 306 yards and 6 touchdowns( 3 passing, 3 Rushing)
FAU running back Devin Singletary 131 yard and 3 touchdowns
UCF receiver Gabriel Davis 5 catches , 91 yards and 1 TD
3 Interception for the Knights but Shawn Burgess-Becker was able to take in back to the house for a 40 yards touchdown
