South Florida Bulls remain undefeated

The University of South Florida Bulls remain undefeated and now hold the NCAA record for consecutive 30-plus point scoring in a game. (24) The Bulls were in the Big Easy and that is exactly how they played against Tulane. The 1st touchdown of the day was by 2016 American Conference Offensive Player of the Year Quinton Flowers. Flowers dropped back for a pass and the defense thought they had him but he made a quick jook and 21 yards later he was in the end zone. Bulls up 7-0 to end 1st quarter. The 2nd score of the day was to Darius Tice. This play was simply amazing. Tice came straight up the gut for a 45 yard touchdown. It happened so quick the referee had to move out the way or he would have made the tackle.

Bulls up 13-0.


The next drive Tulane showed they came to play when Jonathan Banks connected with Terren Encalade for a 73 yards passing touchdown. The crowd went crazy but that did not last long.
The Bull Shark defense added a block punt and 3 plays later Quinton Flowers connected with Darmel Salmon for a 38 yards touchdown. Salmon found a way to get a foot ahead of the defender and Flowers floated the ball to the corner pocket.

Bulls up 20-7 at the half.

In the 3rd quarter USF added 2 more touchdowns to seal the win. One was to the speedy receiver from St. Pete Marquez Valdes-Scantling for 28 yards. The other was a 2 yard run by the workhorse D’Ernest Johnson to push the lead to 34-7. Tulane tried to mount a comeback but eventually fell 34-28 .

What really makes USF so dangerous is how quick they score. Darius Tice touchdown drive was 5 plays , 57 yards and time of possession 1:01. Darnel Salmon touchdown drive was 4 plays, 61 yards, TOP 0:35. Marquez Valdes-Scantling touchdown drive was 3 plays, 73 yards, TOP 0:50.
