Shaquille Quarterman stated, “We can’t lose to Notre Dame.” The young sophomore linebacker may have not been born when the rivalry started, but he is now in the thick of it. Malik Rosier mentioned, “This Hurricane team has a lot of fight in them”. In less than seven days, the Young Miami Hurricanes will play in the biggest game of their young careers. A showdown with number three ranked Notre Dame on Saturday night is all a person could ask for. The key word here is opportunity. Miami has an opportunity to throw themselves into playoff contention. But it will not be easy. Notre Dame, led by Brian Kelly, is on a mission to make the nation believe they are real. A mean schedule with powers of Michigan State, USC, Georgia and now come the Hurricanes looking for respect and redemption nationwide. Notre Dame has a vision ground attack, Miami has a vicious defense. The only thing at stake is maybe a national championship, in which is these two old foes have no problem knocking the other out of the conversation. Forget the popcorn everyone and bring out the steak and shrimp. We have got a classic game going on again late night in Miami!
