We all know everyone respects Miami, FSU and UF but there once was a team in Tampa that was ranked #2 in the nation. The University of South Florida has been hoping, wishing and praying that they get back to those good day. The team is in good hands right
now with coach Willie Taggart. When you go from 2-10 to 10-2 something good needs to be said about that. USF almost got rid of him after going 2-10 the 1st year, 4-8 the 2nd and 8-5 the 3rd with a 45-35 lost in the Miami Beach Bowl game to his old team Western Kentucky. Enough about the past lets talk about the bright future ahead. Coach T stated, “We went from an OFF to and Offense” and he is right about that. This team has be very exciting to watch all year. Weather it was Quinton Flowers connecting with Rodney Adams for a 84 yard touchdown on the 1st play again FSU. Edgerrin James watching the Bulls along with cuz D’Ernest Johnson rack up 279 yards of rushing the 1st against #22 ranked Navy. (Wave the flag next time Navy) What about that defense lead by Tampa Bay standouts Nigel Harris and Auggie Sanchez. Last but not least is Quinton Flowers making moves and plays that you only see on video games with the cheat code in. USF should have been ranked after sinking Navy’s tug boats 52-45. This 10-2 team has set new records such as total offense , rushing yards , rushing touchdowns , total touchdowns and 300-yard total offense games. They will need to win whatever bowl game and win out all next year to keep gaining respect. Go Bulls!!
