31946424475_c4eff50173_zThe Miami Hurricanes came out with a point to prove Wednesday at RUSSELL ATHLETIC BOWL and they surely did not disappoint.  After starting the game slow offensively the team was down 7-0.  Brad Kaaya exploded in the second quarter to the tune of three TD passes. He ended the game 24 of 34 with 282 yards and four TD passes. Kaaya had no problem spreading the ball around. He connected with Malcolm Lewis,Braxton Berrios, Ahmon Richards and David Njoku for scores. David Njoku who will be declaring for the NFL draft has made a habit of consistently diving into the end zone by leaps and bounds. The Hurricane defense line which is filled with many freshman was nasty and disruption. Courtel Jenkins had a sack before going out with an injury.  Michael Pickney was solid with his tackles.  Shaquille Quaterman played nice roaming the defensive land all night long.  There were major hits delivered by Miami ranging from punt return tackles to Rashawn Jenkins making Mountaineer fans respect him as a player by delivering punishment. Jaquan Johnson stated, “Everything went well today! We did what we had to do.” First year coach Mark Richt only lost four games all in October and are now waiting to see who will declared for the NFL. Brad Kaaya had an excellent game and it’s clear if he leaves he will be drafted but if he stays the sky is the limit for Miami. With the bowl win Mark Richt will need to hit the recruiting trail hard if he wants to make a serious run at the title in 2017.
