BOCA RATON, Fla. (December 11, 2015) – The first annual Marmot Boca Raton Bowl Art Contest, which took place in October, had more than 60 entries from seven schools across Palm Beach County. Sponsored by Florida Blue and South Florida Fair, the contest provided elementary students with the opportunity to learn about football and the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle.
“The Marmot Boca Raton Bowl Art Contest is a great opportunity to merge Arts education with sports by allowing our students the opportunity to compete and show their talents throughout the district,” said Edrick Rhodes, K-12 Arts Education Administrator for The School District of Palm Beach County. “We love our partnership with the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl and look forward to seeing the growth and success in our communities and our schools.”
First place was awarded to fifth grader Madison Zelner from Beacon Cove Elementary. Binks Forest Elementary third-grade student Brady Benevides and fourth grader Timiaya Clark from Glade View Elementary earned second and third place, respectively.
