After a slow week in college football it is time to get down to business. The 7-0 #2 Louisiana State University Tigers will be roaring into Tuscaloosa Saturday to face a familiar foe in the 7-1 #4 University of Alabama Crimson Tide. The winner has a great chance to make it to the SEC Championship and keep its playoff hopes alive. The Tide would love nothing more than to flood the Tigers.
Les Miles states, “I can always tell you that this is a special week for us. We look forward to playing Alabama. They’re a very talented team, very capable team, and we look forward to playing in big games, and so many times it’s difficult to muster the emotion and the passion when you lineup against a team that does not necessarily have the same name recognition as a very quality opponent in Alabama.”
Nick Saban states, “This has turned out to be a great rivalry, and I think it’s a great rivalry because of the quality of the programs. I think six or seven times since I’ve been here both teams have been ranked in the top 10.”
There is no secret that running backs Leonard Fournette and Derrick Henry will have the ball often as they attempt to bust through their opponents defense. We believe the game will come down to the quarter back’s ability to move the ball and defenses forcing the offense to make mistakes. Now the world will sit back and see who shows up in this match up of great teams.
