From OFF to OFFense — The Bull are racking up large numbers

Tampa, Fla. — The University of South Florida Bulls are 2-0 after a 48-17 win over Northern Illinois. When you can rack up almost 300 yards on the ground and Mr. Marlon Mack is not on the field is scary.

The Bulls stampeded to a 27-0 lead off a strong passing attack led by Quinton Flowers sprinkled with a nice mix of Darius Tice and D’Ernest Johnson. USF 1st touchdown drive was saved on 3rd and 13 when Flowers connected with Tyre Mccants for 13 yards. The next big play was when Flowers broke loose for a 13 yard when no one was open down field. One of best thing about this offense is they know when the got you on the ropes, so they attack! Rodney Adams’s 11 yard touchdown run reminded me of when I darting through traffic late for my 1st day at work. My daughter who does ballet said he finished it with pirouette. Bulls up 7-0.

The Bulls next touchdown came on their next drive. Quinton Flowers connected with Ryeshene Bronson for the 73 yard strike. Bronson caught the ball around the 35 yards line and was able to keep his legs after the defender tried to cut him down. Ryeshene Bronson ended the game 3 catches for 113 yards. USF only needed 3 plays to go 84 yards in 1:15. Bulls up 14-0

Rodney Adams was not done. He was positioned between 2 defenders and Quinton Flowers 29617931196_d3ef2c597e_z put the pass on the money for the 26 yard touchdown. Rodney finished the half with 2 runs for 28 yards, 4 catches for 47 and 2 touchdowns. Impressive!! The Huskies did get a drive in the end zone with 1:36 left in the half. They were 4th and 2 on the 4 yard line with Aregeros Turner in motion. Aregeros Turner took the hand off and sprinted untouched. Bull up 27-7 at the half.

The Bulls added 3 more scores in the 2nd half and end the game with an outstanding 658 total yards.
Quinton Flowers going 21 of 33 for 350 yards and 4 touchdown is great for most people standards.
Quinton Flowers stated “I got to get my reads. I missed some plays today.”

29361354890_f36704750e_zDarius Tice and D’Ernest Johnson accounted for 207 yards on the ground. Darius Tice stated “We have been working on this for a long time. Marlon told me whatever he see on the sideline he would let me know. It felt good getting 100 yards but the credit goes to the O-line and receivers blocking” Tice had 120 yards (his 1st 100 yard rushing game), 6.3 yard average and a touchdown.

29654359055_53faf0d980_zPost game press conferences are fun when you winning. Coach Willie Taggart joked about going from just being Off to his now explosive Offense. When asked about if Mack is ready? “We heal different around here.”

Look for the Bulls to be ready when FSU comes to town.
