“Da Guru’s” Week 11 College Football Predictions…

Story by Yousaf Khan
This might be the best week of the college football regular season as we have 7 games pitting ranked teams vs each other. Three of those games will feature top 10 teams playing against each other and they are highlighted as our games of the week.
Games of the Week
#3 Notre Dame at #7 Miami (8:00 PM ABC)
Another week, another prime time matchup, and College Gameday will be visiting Miami for the first time in years. Life is good for the turnover chain wearing, undefeated Miami Hurricanes as the have the #3, old time rival, Fighting Irish coming into town. Back in the late 1980’s this game was the premier regular season game as the winner went on to win the national titles in 87’(UM),88’(ND),and 89’(UM). This game will have big ramifications as well as the winner should be in the driver seat for a playoff berth if they win out, (although Miami would have a tough Clemson team in the ACC Championship). If Miami wants to win this game their defense most feed off the crowd again and try to limit talented Irish QB Brandon Wimbush through the air and ground along with RB Josh Adams. The Canes also must protect the ball as QB Malik Rosier three 3 picks last week and will need to be a lot more careful with ball this week. On paper the Irish look like the better team, but I will go with the home team as them seem to have a purpose this season.
Prediction Miami 34, Notre Dame 31
#6 TCU at #5 Oklahoma (8:00 PM Fox)
After surviving Oklahoma State last week, the Sooner now get a tough TCU team coming into Norman, OK. QB Baker Mayfield can have a signature Heisman moment if he has another good game as he has finished as a finalist the last 2 years. TCU QB Kenny “the thrill” Hill must have a career game if the TCU wants to pull off the upset on the road. Just don’t see the Horned Frogs having enough offensively to hang with the Sooners
Prediction Sooners 41, TCU 31
#1 Georgia at #10 Auburn (3:30 PM CBS)
The Bulldogs get their first real test since the Notre Dame game back on September 9 as they have steamrolled through the SEC East. It should be a good game to gauge if the UGA really deserves the #1 ranking over Bama as they must travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium to face a talented Auburn team. In the end I think the 2 headed monster at RB for UGA of Nick Chubb and Sony Michael along with that strong defense will be too much for the Tigers.
Prediction UGA 37, Auburn 27

State Games and LSU
Connecticut at #18 UCF (12:00 PM ESPNU)
UCF outlasted SMU on the road last week 31-24, for a rare close. Looks for things to get back to normal and another blowout as UCF is favored by 40. Don’t expect it to be that bad but still won’t be close. The Huskies are probably tired of playing Florida teams as USF just beat them 37-20 last week.
Prediction UCF 48, UConn 20

Florida at South Carolina – (12:00 PM CBS)
UF is struggling mightily after suffering their 4th straight loss and getting blasted by Missouri 45-16. It won’t probably get any better as they visit Columbia, South Carolina and former head coach Will Muschamp. The Gators need to start winning some games or might miss out on the bowl season.
Prediction South Carolina 27, Florida 20
FSU at #4 Clemson (3:30 PM ESPN)
This is usually game of the year in the ACC but not this year with FSU struggling for wins. Clemson should be able to easily take care of the Noles at home as they continue their march to a third straight playoff.
Prediction Clemson 31, FSU 13

Arkansas at #24 LSU (12:00 PM ESPN)
The Tigers get a rare noon game at home vs SEC west fore Arkansas. LSU was brought back down after playing juggernaut Alabama and losing 24-10 to bring them to 6-3 on the season. On the bright side we will probably get to see the Tigers in Florida come bowl season.
Prediction LSU 27, Arkansas 17

-USF is on a bye week.
*All games Saturday 11/11 unless otherwise noted.
“Da Guru’s” record for last week Week 10 picks 6-1, on the season 42-17.
