TAMPA, Florida – The College Football Playoff (CFP) today announced a star-studded lineup of national recording artists scheduled to perform at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, the signature outdoor music festival taking place championship weekend in Tampa, Florida. Concerts will take place each night, Jan. 6 – 8, 2017.
Eric Paslay will perform Friday (Jan. 6) night, along with The Shadowboxers and Clare Dunn. Flo Rida will headline Saturday (Jan. 7), with additional performances by Rachel Platten and Cold War Kids. On Sunday (Jan. 8), Jay Pharoah will serve as a special guest host, with Usher taking center stage as the headline act. Additional Sunday performances include Gavin DeGraw and Jamie N Commons.
Nashville breakout country artist Eric Paslay is a renowned platinum-selling hit songwriter and dynamic performer. The Texas native has celebrated five No. 1 hits, including “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” which earned nominations for GRAMMY Best Country Song, ACM Song of the Year and CMA Song of the Year in 2013. In 2016, he received two distinct honors; “The Driver” earned Paslay his first GRAMMY nomination as an artist for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and “She Don’t Love You” was nominated for ACM Song of the Year. Over the past year, Paslay has joined Chris Young, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith on tour and is currently on the road in support of his “Angels In This Town” tour.
The Shadowboxers, described by The Nashville Scene as “a harmony-driven, funk-footed quintet, which combines elements of modern pop, ’70s-style AM radio folk and classic R&B,” is an American pop band discovered by and signed to Justin Timberlake’s Villa 40 artist development company. The Shadowboxers recently returned from a two week recording session at Hollywood’s premier EastWest Studios and are playing a handful of select shows in venues in the East and the West.

British-born artist Jamie N Commons quickly attracted attention in 2011 after the release of his debut EP, The Baron, and later in 2013, acclaimed Alex Da Kid-produced EP Rumble and Sway. In 2014, Commons’ single “Karma,” became the official theme song for the popular video game Battlefield Hardline. His forthcoming self-titled EP was largely self-produced in his home studio in London and has been described as a “powerful, gritty, soulful vocal performance.”
AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, one of the premier annual fan events surrounding the College Football Playoff National Championship, will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, an eight-acre attraction on the banks of the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa. Gates open at noon daily for fan-friendly entertainment, a variety of sponsor activations and ESPN broadcasts. The concert series also includes firework shows on select evenings.
