Week two is in the books and the SEC once again had some close games and blowouts. I want to give a shoutout to one of my new favorite teams Auburn. Playing the defending champion close is a good thing but the offense not getting a touchdown will not cut it. The team will have to bounce back quickly because the road does not get any better.
LSU is on the road this weekend at Mississippi State. Both team are undefeated and ready to see just how good their teams are. Coach Ed Orgeron stated, ” Our quarterbacks are very similar. Nick Fitzgerald is very accurate with the football. ”
The Bulldogs are coming off a close 20-19 win over Notre Dame. Georgia’s Kirby Smart talked about what they need to do well this weekend. ” We got to be able to tackle when they make a catch.” He explained Samford is good at getting yards after the catch.
The Gators have survived Hurricane Irma and are ready for “Saturday in the Swamp!” Florida’s Jim McElwain is “Looking forward to getting back to football. It will nice to bring some normalcy back in our lives.”
Alabama Crimson Tide is having another year where they appear to already have tickets to the championship game. Coach Nick Saban stated, “We want to focus on improving as a group.” I personal do not know if that is possible. I think Vanderbilt and LSU may have the key this year to take them down.
Normally when I think of SEC football Vanderbilt is no where in the discussion. I believe Coach Derek Mason has his team ready to do something special. When asked about Kansas State. “We’ve got our hands full, but ready for the task.”
